LightningClan Ancestory

LightningClan's ancestry is all linked to the Four Great Clans: ThunderClan, cats of the forest, ShadowClan, cats of the night, WindClan, cats of the moor, and RiverClan, cats of the water. Unknowingly, they are also descendants to SkyClan, cats of the trees. We obtained all our abilities from these five Clans, which makes us almost purrfect at everything a cat is able to do. Hunting, jumping, balancing, stalking, swimming, running, and fighting. Let's walk through what abilities we've inherited from our ancestors, shall we?

ThunderClan, fierce and brave, are the cats of the forest. ThunderClan was the most peaceful of the Great Clans, never first to start a border skirmish or a war among the other Clans. They preyed on mice, voles, squirrels, the occasional rabbit, and birds such as thrushes starlings, sparrows, and magpies. They fought fiercely in battle, despite their peaceful nature. They were not afraid to challenge the warrior code for what they thought was right. They were excellent at hunting woodland prey. Making sure to keep themselves upwind of their prey, they crept up on the prey and leaping at the precisely right moment. The abilities gained from them is the ability to stalk prey silently, even in leaf-fall when dead leaves cover the ground. LightningClan cats have soft pink pads, because we're so use to soft ground. When hunting woodland prey, we know to keep upwind of our prey and kept our tail down. We are truly descended from the Great Clan that hunted in the forest.

Ahhhh. ShadowClan, willy and proud, this Great Clan harbored black hearts and rouges. Most aggressive of our ancestry, these cold-blooded cats were always first to start a war among the Great Clans. Their dark nature made them ambitious, willing to break the warrior code, battle-hungry, and greedy for any extra tail-length of territory they could get their bloody paws on. They were the cats of the night and the cats of the marshes. They lived in petty, boggy area and preyed on mostly scaly things, such as frogs, lizards, and snakes. Angry for having to take the territory poorest in prey, they grew angry and didn't show themselves in daylight very often. They learned to stalk their prey in the dead of night, another reason their hearts were black to the core. The skills we inherited from ShadowClan cats is being able to hunt in areas with scarce undergrowth and skulk silently through the night. Aggressive in day, brilliant hunters at night, all of LightningClan cats should be proud to have this nocturnal Clan as our ancestry.

WindClan, swift and loyal, had the privileges to sleep closest to their warrior ancestors under the stars. These fleet-footed cats lived on the moor, enjoying the rush of the wind through their short tabby fur. They raced after fleeing rabbits to add to their fresh-kill pile. Being the smallest cats of the Four Great Clans, WindClan ran the fastest and fit into small holes. They stick to the warrior code like a burr in our pelts. We bare their swift feet and the utmost faith in StarClan, because these loyal cats slept underneath Silverpelt and knew StarClan looked over the smallest kit to the oldest elder. The moorland is no place for LightningClan cats, but the WindClan blood that runs in our veins gives us the ability to always have faith and enjoy a run through our territory every once in a while. All cats should be honored to be related to cats from the swiftest Clan of the Great Four.

The cats of the water: RiverClan. RiverClan, clever and strong, were content and loved the water. The water -loving cats feasted on the richest of prey: fish. Scooped up by a swift paw, these fish were caught when they swam too close to the surface. The fish caught by the RiverClan warriors, helped their sleek, long pelts hold water and stay warm in leaf-bare. Stories say they loved collecting shells and feathers to beautify the RiverClan camp and dens. Not afraid of water, these cats were strong swimmers and could move swiftly and scentlessly through the water. LightningClan cats love the water just as much, but don't fancy the taste of fish. Some LightningClan cats have long or short glossy fur that hold water better than their fellow warriors only because most of their ancestry is of RiverClan. This Great Clan truly understood water was not only a main thing to help us survive, but also the beauty of it and LightningClan should be proud they understand the beauty of the water too.

The Fifth of the Great Four Clans was forgotten, countless moons before the other Four broke apart. They were the cats of the trees, they were known as SkyClan. Not much is known about the ancestry we have of this Clan, but it is said they had the ability to jump. To jump onto the Moss Rock in a single powerful leap off the forest ground. It is also thought by LightningClan that they only hunted tree prey such as squirrels and birds. We inherited the ability to jump from them, to jump into trees with no branches close to the ground, our hind leg muscles stronger then our front paws. Overall, the cats of the sky and the cats of the trees, gave us the gift of leaping up high, which also taught LightningClan cats in time to always have hope. Be happy this Clan knew there was always hope and rewards at the end of a long journey, so we know that too, because we to have all walked down dark paths and it seemed like there was no hope left.
